Love the Mongoose logo! This is not a drill, people - it's coming to the US! It's coming in hot! Unfortunately, it's not coming in cheap. (Is this another of those presidential tariff thingies?) Since our first Mongoose Envoy post , I keep swinging back by to check on the status of the first department-store longtail cargo bike. Today my perseverance was rewarded. The Canadian link referred me back to the USA. Man was I excited! So I clicked the link and was rewarded with a little less excitement. What had been $500-Canadian had become $750-US. (Which is still pretty inexpensive for a longtail cargo, but no longer vastly less expensive than the competition.) Check out the US Mongoose Envoy site here.  Finding cool stuff for sale - I think it's self punishment for something. I've been doing well clearing out the garage this year. Two cars have left.  No cars, motorcycles, or scooters have been purchased. I've even been clearing out the backyard shed. So, why do I keep going back to Craigslist? We'll just say it's blog research. Yeah...that's it! While "blog researching" this week, the vintage electro-dork in me heard a siren song coming from the Dallas area. It may not be impressive in stature, but this is a real-deal, Made-in-America, street-legal, electric motorcycle from 1973. Four decades before you could buy a Zero, you could buy this California cruiser and ride gas-free.    $400 or best offer - you seldom see them this cheap or complete! Having your Cargo Bike Cake (and eating it too!)

A few months ago I was faced with a tough ebike decision - should I choose a conventional bike or a longtail cargo bike for my daily commuter. After literally years of desperately wanting a Radwagon , I came to the conclusion that I really need a cargo bike for about 5% of my bike rides. I knew that percentage would go up if I had a cargo bike, but I was not sure how much. I opted for a Juiced OceanCurrent, and I'm very (VERY!) happy with it 95% of the time. But that other 5%...
